2 Corinthians 5:14-15

For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.

Pondering Point

Our Pondering Point today comes in the form of a prayer, a plea from us to God to become what He desires for us.

PRAYER: Lord God, let this biblical principle sink in for me – and for my fellow followers of Jesus: I should no longer live for myself; nor should my Christian brothers and sisters live for themselves. We are all called to live for You. Teach us what this means; teach us how to be more like Christ, who lived for You and Your will. As Jesus enjoyed a blessed communion with You while walking the earth, let us also enjoy such communion with Jesus and You and the Holy Spirit in our journey. And let us experience the joy of living as brothers and sisters united under this truth. Amen

In Christ who died for me, I no longer live for myself, but for Him who died for me and was raised again.
