Review and Re-Center Around God
Psalm 24:3-5
3 Who may ascend the mountain of the Lord?
Who may stand in his holy place?
4 The one who has clean hands and a pure heart,
who does not trust in an idol
or swear by a false god.
5 They will receive blessing from the Lord
and vindication from God their Savior.
Psalm 24:3-5 sets a tone for who has a right to approach God. This is not a question about self-acceptance but acceptance from God. There is an internal and external purity being acknowledged.
Review the Week
Regardless of others around you, are you seeking the face of God?
Do you trust the Triune God as your life preserver or have you divided your trust, “hedging your bets” by integrating other paths and/or gods?
Repent (if necessary)
If you have faltered in trusting God (alone!) or have faltered in seeking His face, this is a great time to come clean through a time of repentance.
Return (as necessary)
Based on your confession, make a plan to adjust your life to seek God and show trust in Him using practical ways such as carving out time for Him in your day and pausing to tell yourself: My hope is in the Lord.
Micro-Meditation Scripture
Psalm 119:97-104 (Mem, 13th letter)
- Oh, how I love your law!
I meditate on it all day long. - Your commands are always with me
and make me wiser than my enemies. - I have more insight than all my teachers,
for I meditate on your statutes. - I have more understanding
than the elders,
for I obey your precepts. - I have kept my feet from every evil path
so that I might obey your word. - I have not departed from your laws,
for you yourself have taught me. - How sweet are your words to my taste,
sweeter than honey to my mouth! - I gain understanding from your precepts;
therefore I hate every wrong path.

Teaching or Command of God
Proverbs 4:25-27
Let your eyes look straight ahead;
fix your gaze directly before you.
Give careful thought to the paths for your feet
and be steadfast in all your ways.
Do not turn to the right or the left;
keep your foot from evil.
Habakkuk 3:19
The Sovereign Lord is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights.

Pondering Point
“O be careful little feet where you go” says the children’s song – and says God’s Word. On what path have you set your feet? Did you consult God on that path?
