Call to Worship God, to Gather Together
Colossians 3:16
Let the message of Christ dwell among you richly as you teach and admonish one another with all wisdom through psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit, singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.
Worship is giving God the best that he has given you. Be careful what you do with the best you have. Whenever you get a blessing from God, give it back to him as a love gift. Take time to meditate before God and offer the blessing back to him in a deliberate act of worship. If you hoard a thing for yourself it will turn into spiritual dry rot, as the manna did when it was hoarded. God will never let you hold a spiritual thing for yourself; it has to be given back to him that he may make it a blessing to others.

Prayer
Lord, let our church be an instrument of your peace:
where there is hatred, let us sow love;
where there is injury, let us share pardon;
where there is doubt, let us inspire faith;
where there is despair, let us bring hope;
where there is darkness, let us shed light;
where there is sadness, let us increase joy.
O Divine Master, as your disciples at Hope,
grant that we may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved as to love.
For it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life. Amen
