Disciples Remember Jesus' Words
Luke 10:3
Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves.
~ Jesus
Pondering Point
It is not unusual to read the Old Testament and find God calling His people to remember. They were told to remember the Sabbath1, His commands2, their Covenant3, their deliverance from slavery4 and their wilderness testings5 to name a few.
Jesus Himself encouraged the disciples to remember certain lessons and learning experiences, including this one: "a servant is not greater than his master -- expect persecution" (see John 15:20).
God knows how important it is to remember who we are – and whose we are – when facing troubling situations such as being sent out "like lambs among wolves." Do you know how important this is?

Prayer
Lord Jesus, as You send me out like a lamb among wolves, shepherd me. I am Yours. Give me confidence that You have my back, that You will lead me through the valley(s) of shadow and death. I so appreciate the life that You have given me, and that Your goodness and mercy follow me all the days of my life. You are a great Shepherd. Amen.
