Wellspring of Joy
1 John 4:19
We love because he first loved us.
• In Christ, I am loved with an everlasting love and I am able to be a conqueror through Him who loves me.
Pondering Point
Today we rejoice that God loves us.
- That He loved us first. (1 John 4:19)
- That He loves us with an everlasting love. (Jeremiah 31:3)
- That He gave His life for us out of love. (Galatians 2:20)
- That He is slow to anger and abounding in love and faithfulness. (Psalm 86:15)
- That His love is rich in mercy. (Ephesians 2:4)
- That we are more than conquerors through Him who loves us. (Romans 8:37)
Prayer
I thank You Heavenly Father for the love that You brought in my life, for granting me new life in Jesus, and for enabling me to love other people out of a gracious place. Let me serve out of that gracious place, based not on needing to receive, but wanting to give what You first gave me. I love You Father; thanks for loving me, Amen.
