God's Gospel Truths
Mark 6:30-32
The apostles gathered around Jesus and reported to him all they had done and taught. Then, because so many people were coming and going that they did not even have a chance to eat, he said to them, “Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.” So they went away by themselves in a boat to a solitary place.
Pondering Point
The compassion of Jesus allowed time to go away and rest both for Himself and those who served alongside Him and in His name. He carved out time to go away and meet personal needs like eating, resting, praying. It is okay to make time to care for oneself. The apostles were learning the call of Jesus to go, but also about His call to come away and be cared for Father God and rejuvenated for whatever is next.
Prayer
We repeat our prayer from yesterday:
Let me find rest in You Jesus – heart, soul, mind, and body.
Amen…AND we repeat the discipleship task today
Discipleship Task
