Sunday's One Another Commands
Don’t grumble against one another
James 5:9
Don’t grumble against one another, brothers and sisters, or you will be judged. The Judge is standing at the door!
Pondering Point
For our one another verse this week, we hear a negative-oriented statement: "Don't grumble against each other".
If we internalized the truth of this verse, we would grumble less often -- to others, about others. Some of you don't grumble at all – congratulations in this godly characteristic. others of you have something to work one.
Perhaps you could receive some assistance from one of those other Christians who have removed the log from their eye in preparation to help you! Sounds like a good thing to pray over.
Pondering These Two Questions with God
(and eventually with a group of others)...
- Who (if anyone) have you been grumbling against lately?
Repent of that before God. - What is the rationale for your grumbling?
Ask for wisdom regarding how to handle the situation without grumbling.
Prayer Prompt
Lord, forgive me for my grumbling. Help me to grumble less. Lead me not into temptation; deliver me from grumbling. Amen.
