Discipleship Point and Prayer
FRIDAY'S BIT OF
DISCIPLESHIP
To pursue humility, we must recognize the enemy: Selfish ambition. This helps us to concentrate on its opposite, the success of others. Selfish ambition has nothing to do with Jesus Christ. There was not an ounce of it in him. Nothing moves people more than those who selflessly support others for success. As pride tears down a house, so humbly desiring the best for our brothers and sisters build a house that lasts.

Discipleship Point
In seeking to grow as disciples of Jesus, there are three crucial components God uses to bring about spiritual growth: His Word, His Spirit, & His people. This week we look at the second of those components: YIELDING TO THE HOLY SPIRIT.
Jesus promised the Spirit would remind His disciples of what He taught; That Spirit helps us too. On Monday, You were given an opening prayer to capture that thought.
You are using a closing prayer to capture it here, reminding you to yield to the Holy Spirit in both these devotions and in life itself.
Closing Prayer
(for use with the IMMERSION devotions)
Spirit of God, I pray that You use this time of devotion to shape and influence my thoughts and emotions as well as my actions and attitudes throughout the day. May all who encounter me also encounter You in me. Again, I yield my heart and mind, my soul and spirit, my will and imagination to You as I immerse myself in the rest of this day to God’s Glory; In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
Proverbs with God's Wisdom
For your ways… (remember? Memory work 😊)
Proverbs 5:21
For your ways are in full view of the LORD,
and he examines all your paths.
