Re-Center Around God
John 17:24-26
Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world. Righteous Father, though the world does not know you, I know you, and they know that you have sent me. I have made you known to them, and will continue to make you known in order that the love you have for me may be in them and that I myself may be in them.
~ Jesus
Pondering Point
Think about this: Jesus says “I want those you have given me to be with me.” The original disciples (and us by extension in His prayer) are gifts from the Father to the Son Jesus, and He has wrapped us up in love and forgiveness. Merry Christmas early 😊!
Review the Week
You are a gift from God the Father to Jesus the Son. Whom else might God be blessing through your “presence”?
Repent (if necessary)
From the perspective of being God’s gift to others, where have you withheld blessings, words of affirmation, support, or encouragement? This would confessing sins of omission – what you failed to do regarding what God desires of you.
Return (as necessary)
See yourself as a gift of God to Jesus. And Ask God to reinstate you in your role as a gift to bless others (this could be for a spouse, family, neighbors, church members, workers, etc.).
