Pondering Point
The scriptures teach us that we love because God first loved us (1 John 4:19). As Christians, our love for others reaches beyond human limitation by means of divine inspiration. And here in Romans 5:8 is one of the greatest demonstrations of that inspirational love from God – that of a Father for us His children – sinful children to be sure, but children nonetheless.

Prayer for the Day
Lord Jesus Christ, we could rightly call You the demonstration of God’s love in Your life and in Your death. I pray that You fill me so that I too might become a demonstration of God’s love in life. In Your name I pray. Amen.
