from the Apostles’ Creed
I believe in Jesus Christ, God’s only Son our Lord, who was
crucified, died, and was buried; He descended into hell;
the third day he rose again from the dead.
We were therefore buried with him through baptism into death in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, we too may live a new life. For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we will certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his.
~Apostle Paul
Lord Jesus, I believe that You are the Christ, the son of the Living God, and that You suffered, died, were buried, and rose from the dead. I believe that You died for my sin and that I too have died – to my sin – in my baptism. So, just as you rose from the dead, I too will live a new life.
Read the versus of the Psalm.
Mark the words or phrases that catch your attention.
Meditate: talk (or better, write) with God about those words. Ask him to impress things upon your heart and mind; expect responses.
Be filled with the Spirit, speaking to one another with psalms, hymns, and songs from the Spirit. Sing and make music from your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The Lord will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to his heavenly kingdom. To him be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
I love David’s “shouts of joy” in God’s sacred tent (tabernacle). When is the last time you found yourself shouting for joy over the Lord, and moved to make joyous “sacrifices” in response?
